hey, do you have another pic from straight behind??? I have Moe’s 5” tips and want a bed step, but some say they won’t fit.

Had to dig, seems like only a couple from that side straight on.
Here is a screenshot of a vid I did

Been having wheel speed sensor issues, bought new wheel bearings/hubs with new sensors included.
Started tear down this afternoon, and discovered that my steering rack is leaking, and at least one Lowe ball joint (replaced less than a year ago) is bad.
My suspicion is that the bearing got hot and “cooked” the grease out of the ball joint.

Got my Phoenix Automotive 12.1” PX-6 Android Radio installed.

I’m actually pretty happy with it so far. It’s really nice and everything works as it should.

I got my Carven Competitor muffler installed so that I can get my truck inspected. I didn’t have a chance to install the black 5” tips, that will happen this weekend or next. I have a ton of other stuff I need to finish first.

I got my front bumper back FINALLY and they completely sanded it back down to smooth surface and repainted it. The bumper finally looks like it should and the paint is really nice with no imperfections. Only took 6 weeks and 6 trips to the body shop [emoji2962]

Tomorrow I have to finish running wires for the radio for the F+R dashcam and the back up cam. I also need to install my front bumper tomorrow and then Sunday install my AlphaRex Luxx lights and finish a couple retrofits.

Crazy busy weekend man.

Thanks man. It’s coming along nicely. I can’t wait to get the new front bumper on tomorrow and the custom AlphaRex Luxx headlights too. I also need to finish securing the wiring for the backup camera aswell as run the wiring for the dvr dash cam. Also selling one of the sets of Ram seats that I have tomorrow. So it’s a busy busy day for me tomorrow lol.

Changed the tranny pan/fluid and transfer case fluid on my ‘16 Longhorn yesterday. 5.7 Hemi, 4x4. All fluids in the truck are Redline now. Did the differentials at Christmas time last year. Transfer case and differentials are easy. Tranny not so much.

Gotta love what the Chrysler engineers did (again) with the crossover pipe. Blocks the drain plug on the trannny pan, blocks a bolt on the side of the pan and makes getting to the fill plug a total PIA. I have a nice burn on my left arm to prove it. These are the things the YouTube videos don’t show you.

Truck had 66K miles on it at this change. Glad I did it now. Lots of gunk and grey metal on the magnets. Fluid was very dark. I don’t drive my truck hard other than an occasional WOT. I don’t tow although we are going to be pulling a small Travel Trailer. Truck shifts much better now.

Just my opinion but ZF is spot on with their service requirements. Chrysler is a bunch of BS with their lifetime fluid recommendation.

So a couple of tips:
1) Wrap the crossover and exhaust pipes by the tranny with soaking wet towels to absorb the heat when having to fill the tranny with the truck running. This will save you from burning your arm.
2) Buy a decent garden sprayer and modify it to pump the fluid in to the trans. Have a helper slowly pump while you are underneath filling and replacing fill bolt etc. You have enough to do under the truck. Ask for help.
3) The fill plug is VERY tight when first cracked. I had to use a pipe on the end of my ratchet to loosen. No reason for it to be so tight.
4) Do not attempt this at 10AM when you are taking the wife to lunch at noon. Leave your self plenty of time. 3bb04d297bc38e70faa6215dd0887558.jpg

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
Installed my 5” tips to try & fill some space created by the 1.5” bl. The mbrp tips I thought were 4” were actually 4.5” so not much difference but the black seems to less noticeable. Thank you to Nick at GotExhaust.com who helped me find the tips that would work with my cat back

I’m looking at 5” tips too from BL lol. My exhaust looks ridiculous. I may just pay the $100 to have a shop bend the stock pipes to fit And keep stock tips....

you just need to loosen the clamps, and adjust the tips if you have the stock setup.

Re-spooled my winch line to have the winch ready for action. Also ordered couple of extras items like soft shackles, wire sleeve, rope dampener, etc to add more toys to recovery gear bag. You can't never have enough chit in there can you ? :)
