Took it to prison. We're doing another disc golf tournament inside the walls of the Old Joliet Prison. I'm the DJ so I had to get out there and meet with the TD and do a bit of recon.
"So, Jake, you're out, you're free, you're rehabilitated. What's next? What's happenin'? What you gonna do? You got the money you owe us???"

0CC096C2-E718-4875-90D0-32F4226A5A03.jpegLowered the rear 2”. I don’t think I got quite 2 inches out of it but I expect it will settle in a bit. Also put airbags on the rear. I measured the back height a few days ago at the top of the wheel well but I forgot the measurements now, lol. I wanted to reference them for a before and after . That’s what I get for not writing it down.

Swapped my steering wheel for a leather one with audio controls. Got majorly sidetracked, as I lost Sirius, backup cam and climate controls when I hooked the battery back up. I assumed it was due to a harness/switchgear issue with the replacement wheel, and pulled the wheel two more times changing harnesses and switches to "fix" the problem. It turned out it was just my truck being lazy to reset its settings. All is good now!

Also cut and fit a rubber mat from Lowe's to go on the metal quad cab fold flat floor I installed a while back - stuff was sliding around on it too much.

It's hard to find a "flat spot" 25 feet from a wall, so I cheated and used the 2500 as a baseline since they sit damn near the same height.

The left are the 12 year old factory housings with 9 year old SilverStar Ultras

Enabled the quad function with AlfaOBD, now high and low beam come on for high beams.

It's a Leer, a used one made for my truck and the exact same color. 1/3 of the price of a new one. Can't believe how it worked out!
It looks great! Now y’all are ready for some necking! I am having to think the same thing. We have a wedding for my wife’s sister in November. I want to drive home and not stay in a hotel. It’s a school night and and honestly camping sound better then a bnb.

We're going to be camping and some hotels for a week next month. Getting prepared, I think it's going to be great! Going to the Adirondack mountains!

Its amazing what you can accomplish in 8 hrs with $12 of Rust Oleium, the wife is not interrupting you every 45 mins to do some that takes 30 mins to hour to keep her happy, and the grand kids are not there as well.
Don't get me wrong, I love the boys but when they are there 2 out of my 3 days off, the things I want to do get pushed to the back of the line.

The bolts and bango fitting are now satan black.

Waited until the weekend, and then drove out for coffee in it, then drove around on some roads I hadn't been on before. Trying to keep the mileage low for now, cheaper on insurance. Since this truck is my birthday present to myself, want to take care of it, and not beat up on it too much, but still drive it. Cars and trucks, and motorcycles too, were meant to be driven and enjoyed.
