Did an oil change today to swap to redline. Ordered my suspension maxx sway bar links to install sometime next week

Lastly, I finally installed the DeeZee tailgate damper: I really like their re-designed mounting point for the gate! Oh, and I put some color on my "RAM" letters in the center stack...just because.
What did they change on the mounting point? I installed mine about 5 years ago.

The bottom mount is now a plate with the stud welded to it, and that plate screws to the tailgate where the rivnut is inserted in the tailgate, rather than the lower stud being installed right to that point. It moves the stud about an inch higher on the side of the gate, but also should alleviate some pressure off the rivnut: on my 1500, the rivnut broke and I had to replace it.

Here's a couple pics of the new lower mount:

towed my side by side around to the other side of the lake and went bush bashing.i'm in full mud seaon here right now.it's too muddy to take the powerwagon off road,i have no way to wash it.it's still too cold to open the hose bibbs at the house.

The stock tail gate guard is pretty fragile. McMaster-Carr hooked me up with some aluminum angle …

Changed my oil after the 1st thousand miles (1,038) then had it waxed. First photo is before the oil change, 2nd is after. See the difference?
