Luyed 7440 LED Reverse Bulbs

99.jpg

OEM 912 Incadecent bulbs produce 264 Lumens
Luyed 7440 LED bubs produce 1550 Lumens

Intellectually, I know that is a lot more light.
So, I put them in, held the brake and put it in reverse.
HOLY CRAP!!

Once again, I been taught there is a huge difference between Knowing something and actually seeing it.

Thank you Amazonian God!!!!

My Son actually came over and put them in.
He saw how bright they were and first thing out of his mouth,
"Wow, those are going to be great, backing the boat in pre-dawn waters."

Hmm,
I NEED VLED's LICENSE PLATE BRACKET LED!!!

I would take a measurement first. I'm not sure what the gate-to-plate cleareance is when the gate is down for your '22 but the '19 does not have much clearance. Some have a little more than others depending on assembly.

I put a very low profile plate frame on and noticed that the gate barely cleared it when down (I could pass a piece of paper through the gap but not the width of a McDonald's takeout bag) so I took it off as that was too close for comfort for me.

I had been eyeing the VLED bracket until I noticed the gap issue.

It positively absolutely for darn sure hit the VLED Light.
That;s why guys trim about an 1/8 inch of the bottom of their license plate.
Drop down an 1/8 directly below the top license plate screw holes, drill new holes and install the new light and plate.

Problem solved.

Tried to order directly from VLED but the site froze everytime I treid to use my credit card.
Was starting to get worried the 3rd that i had bought 3 of the things Forgot to check it today or call them

Oh well, if 3 how up looks like stocking stuffers for a couple of my kids.

Had my BedRug installed.

This is how it actually looks to the human eye.

bedrug005.jpg

Also had them install a couple of 30inch LED light strips, connected to an On-Off Switch.
Camera makes the front appear much darker than it actually looks to me.

bedrug004.jpg

NOTE: Cameras can only see 5 Steps of Light, Humans can see 12.

Pretty happy with the Install.
Everything looks snug & Tight.
The Rug still has to lay down a bit but that's just from packaging.
Can see the fold lines still but those will come out, over time.

Closing the tailgate takes some Oooph, what with the bedrug and the tailgate seal.

Also had them install some Putco Door Sill Guards.

Not my Truck but this is how they look.
My Picture turned out horrible.

Can't really see it, not nearly like the Companies picture shown here.
Got to really look hard to notice it's there.
Just black 3m Tape but, hopefully, it will keep my door sill paint from wearing off, like it did in my last two trucks.

Figure replacing that 3M tape will be much cheaper then painting the Sills.
I do not want a patch of gray primer showing up because i wore the paint out on this black truck.
Primer popping up on my red trucks was bad enough.

Installed the LED headlights, brights, and fogs today!

Why all vehicles not pulled by a horse don't come standard with LED's is beyond me but here we are. Anyway, I installed the LED's today. I went with SEALIGHT LED's from Suncet Auto .com.

Very easy install and I can't wait to try them out tonight.

Oh I gotta check out those Putco Door Sill Guards. I tried the Weathertech ones and they did not fit at all. I'm a big Weathertech fan so I was disappointed with that.

I brought mine home. Traded in my 2012 Ram 1500 Quad Sport for a 2022 Rebel with the 5.7 Hemi, Rebel Level 2 package, My old one gave me 203,000 miles of trouble free driving until the rear axle started to chew something up inside. Metal in the fluid. Figured it was a good excuse to trade up.
