Got a golf ball size spiderweb crack in the '20 Laramie on the way home from work... that I havent even paid the first note on yet. :flame:
I drove straight to autozone and got a windshield repair kit.
We'll know in the morning if the resin truly has to be in direct sunlight to cure.

EDIT: Confirmation of Resin requiring direct sunlight to cure. Lol. It was still wet as water this morning. I put two strips of electrical tape on the clear cover that goes on top of the glass and rolled on into work.

EDIT: Pulled the film off, and scrapped off the excess. You can still see the chip pretty good but as long as it doesnt spread, Im good with it.

Today I got the Certificate of Origin for our new Laramie. Tomorrow, it will be time to get my sweetie's fox license plate registered for her new ride! :kiss1:

Removed Active Grill Shutters, Installed 190* Thermostat and a UPR Catch Can! I have a sigh of relief knowing my engine is cooler and my air is cleaner.

EDIT: I feel like im moving backwards with this 5th gen! I went and drove the truck to see what temps I would be running now. Everything looks great: 190-205 on Coolant, 200-210 on Oil, and 185-190 on Trans., but now I have a Check Engine light.

Anyone know how to get rid of it? My AGS system is still functioning. All I did was remove all the shutters except the center one attached to the servo motor. So the truck doesnt "know" anything is different except a slightly lower temp. I did the exact same thing to my 4th gen and this wasnt a problem.

Today I installed the rare and highly coveted passenger door cup holder. Look on my cup holder, ye Mighty, and despair! :D
...

I also installed that rare passenger door cup holder today... Yesterday I installed the Datin Underseat Storage. Not inexpensive but it was better than anything else I could find.

I really like that setup, it may be on the Wish List? I just bought a Maxcare warranty for MY 19, no extra bucks.

THE only thing I did for the Red Beast was gas it up and get the Maxcare Warranty, LOL.

About the same to as much as $3.10 for a gallon 89 octane. U know, U R just by Dallas and I am in the middle, kinda same prices, LOL.

I figure they were similar. Our gas where we are is just cheaper for some reason lol.

Reinstalled the upper and lower Grill Shutters so my check engine light will go away and changed my oil with some Redline 5w30 and RP oil filter.

Removed and replaced all chrome pieces around the window, R/R all emblems except grille with black, R/R door handles with black. Removed and power coated Rims and tow hooks. Replaced chrome exhaust tips with black chrome tips. On Monday I take to shop to R/R chrome front and rear bumper, grill and a sport‘s hood as well as mirror covers that will be color matched to the truck.

All oem parts with no plastic dip or vinyl wrap.

1 before pic and what I did myself
Once done I will post the updated look.

My shutter motor got tucked away for the intercooler, the shutters are a far cry from the ones on my old JD A model.

Today, I decided that the front bumper would look better without the license plate.

Carla2021Ram03.jpg

For bumper plugs, I bought four of the HIllman brand 3/8" metal hole plugs at Lowes. Then I used some small pliers to expand the flanges on the back just a little bit.

Ram8Aug2021_03.jpg

This made them pop in nice and tight in the 7/16" holes.

Ram8Aug2021_02.jpg

I think this looks better. But we will see. I can always stick the license plate holder back on there if I want. ;)

Looks good now time to keep it going and delete the mirror chrome and get those bumpers painted! I know the struggle with chrome. Mine had a ton when I got it.

Just got the drivers and passenger side windows tinted this morning. Didn't want to go to dark, 35%. Not the best pic in a pinch.

After spending the last few years building the truck of my dreams, a 2017 Ram 1500 SLT that I basically converted to a Sport, and after much debating, I finally traded it in today. I bought a 2019 Ram Sport! I pick it up on Saturday! C9695AAE-D758-4314-975B-31D013FE32E6.jpeg
