Absolutely. I had them on a 4Runner and absolutely loved them. They handled flawlessly in the snow but then again that’s a different vehicle than these trucks
Speaking of quoting myself- just found a set of these on Facebook a power wagon owner had taken off to put on taller tires. I got them with 12,000 miles on them for $350. I couldn’t say no at that price. I have had pretty good luck with these so I will get them put on and see how they go.
Now if I can just find some power wagon wheels here in Oregon to put them on that would be splendid

Good deal. They should have 3/4 life left and you got them for 1/4 of the price when new.
Agreed. They retail for around $1500 around here so I was pretty excited and had to leave pretty quickly to go get them before someone else did

Just bought a set of New duratracs from a Goodyear store for $935 installed out the door.

If your paying 1500 I will sell you a set for 1250 all day long.

I just had a factory ordered 2016 Bighorn & i went to Discount Tire with those new tires. They traded me up to new Michelins.

I figured being as the OEMs were something that i was going to get rid of & i was going to get brand new Michelins
I could not go wrong

Not bad! How many miles did you get on your stock Duratracs? Thx

25k I just put the third set on at 50k
Got even less mileage on my OEM Duratrac tires due to our minimum 6/32" traction law tread depth versus 2/32" in dry conditions. Best to trade them in and get a tire that last longer for a heavier 3/4 ton truck. I run Duratrac tires on our 1/2 ton 4x4 and Toyo C/T's on our Power Wagon. Both sets will exceed 50K miles this year.20220902_121956.jpg

Back in Germany you have to have at least 6mm (or roughly 8/32") thread left to be road-safe. Which actually makes sense in regard to hydroplaning.

They could make it 10/32" tread depth to be road-safe out here and it would make zero difference. Haven't ever seen law enforcement standing out in a minus 20F road blizzard to check tires. Unless it's enforced it's a joke.

I suppose that's true for any modification or vehicle wear.
It might be different if you're involved in an accident, at fault or not. Then your insurance might recoup the money from you because your vehicle was not road-safe, plus they might issue a fine for any illegal stuff. Although I'm not sure if that's handled this way in the US.

It is enforced near our my rural mountain home if involved in an accident for 9 months each year (September 1st to May 31st). I have had to trade in some perfectly good tires to Discount Tire with approximately 5/32" tread depth left on both my OEM Duratracs and the last set of Cooper S/T Maxx to comply. Rental cars near our nearby major ski resorts (Vail/Aspen) aren't usually equipped with snow tires in addition to winter conditions experienced drivers.

I can only imagine. I'd never drive to CO in the winter on summer tires. Even a full thread doesn't help you there, the rubber compound is too hard. Thread depth is mostly important for rain.
Germany adopted a law a while back that you had to have winter (I. e. snowflake) tires in winter conditions, with hefty fines along. All-season M+S tires are ok, though.

I run nothing, but 3PMSF (snowflake) rated tires.

I'll go with Nitto Ridge Grappler, not sure if they have the snowflake. But then again, it's Mississippi. No winter for us down here.

I'm still running the original Good Years (20"). 139,000 Km (86,000 Miles) on the truck but I switch them over to the 17" Rebel wheels with the factory Toyo Open Country tires for the winter. I figure I've got one more summer season left on them (Good Years), then scrap.

Put these power wagon take off tires on my 2006. Seller took them off his 2021 to go bigger and these are the ones I snagged for $350 off Facebook. All told just under $500 including install.
