What did you own before your current RAM?
Are you a serial RAM owner? Switching from another truck brand? Just getting into the truck life?

This is my 3rd truck. I keep going bigger each time...
Started with an '86 Isuzu P'up. Technically a pickup, but just barely....
Bought a brand-new 2000 Dodge Dakota.
Kept that until I got my slightly used 2017 RAM this year.

Definitely a Dodge/RAM/FCA fan.

Similar for me.

Started with an '89 Jeep Cherokee (was all cars before that)
Bought a brand-new 2001 Dodge Dakota.
Kept that until I got my CPO 2014 RAM last year.

Tacoma. 2010 new in Sept 2009, then another, 2015 in Oct. 2014. I tend to keep vehicles about five years or so.

I'd PLANNED on keeping my Tacoma from 2010, but the deal on the new one was too good to pass up and mine needed tires, brake work, shocks, several other updates I didn't want to have to dump a lot of money into all at once, so I did it on payments.

Paid it off in 2 years.

I HOPE to do the same with this Ram, bought used/CPO with warranties, got 23k on trade-in on my Taco, on Christmas eve.

Seems like a good deal.

Oh, the 2d Taco? Loud. I got home one evening after work and couldn't hear my son talking to me. I actually said "I can't hear from all the road noise." Then it dawned on me. Few road trips to farm in TN every year the past two years, highway commuting around DC-BMO, hearing getting worse...

Man, the ram is quiet by comparison.

Will need tires though. OEM tires suck.

Cars/motorcycles I've owned:
- Yamaha Twin Jet 100 (traded in on first car)
- English Ford Cortina, 1969, 1970 models, joined Army, sold cars.
- Austin Healy Sprite (nothing ever wore out, it all broke first) 1966 model, sold for scrap when piston rod broke

- 1975 VW Bug traded in on 1977 VW Westphalia camper conversion (ex-wife kept in divorce, Transmission blew up a month later),

- Honda Civic 1988 (2d wife bought for me, old one needed a new car slid under gas cap)

- Jeep Wrangler 1995 (first east coast snowmageddon - thought we needed a way out of our development after a week - for 6 months, what a POS),

(sold motorcycles. DC/east coast traffic was impossible)
- 1996 Subaru Outback (factory-installed header crack and monthly shop visits for perpetual injector, sensor, other issues until crack discovered on last day of ownership),
- 2001 Volvo Cross Country (power steering broke first day, then steering knuckle, then radio, then vapor lock, vapor lock, vapor lock... got stranded lemon law forced them to buy it back),
- 2002 Toyota Sienna (more lemony things, bad computer, broken seat belts, recall, recall, recall) traded for,
- 2004 Saturn Vue - chemical smell triggered migraines, vomiting in wife and daughter pushed issue through OSHA, dealer bought car back.
- something unmemorable until 2009. I really can't remember what it was, which is really weird.
- Chevy HHR 2005 Needed pickup to haul son (drummer) and band w/ trailer/gear around on gigs. Son got the HHR for HIS first car. Delco battery lasted 9 years and several months, died two weeks before we sold it.
- Tacoma 2009
- Tacoma 2014
- HMMWV M1038 1992 in Sept 2016 (still own. going to use it to haul a plow or disc harrow on my farm in a few years... you think I'm joking).
- Ram 2018 Dec 24th.
