42' and 13k empty, probably 14k loaded. I do have the 4.10 rear, but hope to go 4.88s eventually. No Cummins, but she gets the job done just the same!

I had my hitch too far back in this pic, so it squatted a little more than it does now. Drops about 2" before I air up the Firestone bags.

That is cool! The camper I’m looking at is 36’ bumper pull and weighs about 7k. I feel better now looking at yours. Lol. I know my PW tows less but still. Lol

I only have one question, how much over payload are you? 20-25% pin weight of a 14K 5er is arguably in 1 ton dually territory. YMMV.

Not as much as most. My door states 2940 payload. I'm probably over a little based on the 10k cap for the 2500 series trucks. But, when I bought this truck I only had a travel trailer. Due to relocation, I bought the 5th wheel to live in full time. It handles the weight very admirable for a gas engine, single wheel truck.

I'd love a dually, but not practical for the 4-5 times a year I tow. When I upgrade I will go diesel and at least 3500, but for now, I feel very comfortable with my setup.

Towed this setup cross country from San Diego to South Carolina. Truck handled it very well. My wife had the pilot seat through most of the hills in Texas; she just threw it into tow/haul and chugged along. I believe we got around 11-12mpg during the trip. 4:10 rear. No regrets on the gasser.

Now I will pull the same trailer, not the 5th wheel, and have my Jeep JK inside. We shall see how the 6.4 Hemi compares to the Mighty Cummins.

I just got back from a Jeeping trip to Windrock Park, near Knoxville, TN from Detroit, MI area.
Overall I was very pleased with the performance of the 6.4 Hemi. It pulled the hills in KY and TN just fine. The rig's gross weight was 20,020 with both driver and passenger in the truck, Jeep, parts and gear in the trailer. Gas tank was full. CAT scale weight.
I will update the exact stats in the next couple of days.
It's never gonna be a Cummins, but those days are behind me. For a daily driver with occasional towing duties this suits me just fine.

EDIT: 1098 miles, round trip. 154.251 gallons used = 7.118 mpg. Lie-o-meter said 8.2. ;-)

Got 8.81 mpg hand calculated over 180 towing this setup. Went through half highway and half through rolling hills at rural highway speed changes with some stop/go driving. Pulled up to a scale, but it was down, so I don’t have a weight sadly. It seemed I was getting the gas mileage with and without tow/haul.
