I turned off my seat belt chime the other day and I seem to recall it not chiming at all. Now I think it chimes a couple times if I don't have the seat belt on and then stops, and none none if I have the belt on and just take it off. But I have this light with a steering wheel and !. It's not on, but when you turn on the ignition and it cycles they the lights, this one shows up a couple times between the other lights. It isn't in my owners manual. Power steering? Is it supposed to show multiple times during the cycle?

According to my owner's manual that I downloaded in 2012, the icon is a warning for low power steering fluid. The exclamation point isn't in the icon chart, but I would assume it is a means to tell you "this is serious!" Or, the icon and the exclamation point is an error and the only problem you have is that there is a problem with the monitoring system. Good luck!

Interesting. I don't have fluid in a 2013, it's electronic, but I wonder why the icon shows twice during the cycle...

Everyone has electric power steering I believe... And everyone has power steering fluid. Unless things changed in newer vehicles

Only the 2013 and up have electric steering. Older uses old school fluid and pump to run the steering rack

If it doesn't stay lit, I believe it's just running a standard diagnostic check at startup. If it stays lit, you have an error code for your electric power steering.
