Myself and several other forum-goer's have had great results from the Nitto NT420V's. I have run them on two of my Ram 1500's and I could not be happier with them. I feel like their ride quality is superior to to SR-A's. The wet weather performance is also vastly improved. Dry weather is hard to beat too.

I rather spend the money & get what they now call the Michelin Defender LTX M/S, about 3 years ago, there was a slight design change
I've had them on 3 pickups now,
1999 Chevy 1/2 ton, 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, 2016 Ram 1500
i love the 70,000 miles that i usually get

The price may be uncomfortable for some people

$ 981 for 4 tires mounted, balanced, with Road Hazard Warranty

You can sometimes get discounts

+1 on the Falken Wildpeak AT3W, just put them on my 2018 2500 in LT295/60/20 load range E, they balanced nicely and ride smooth and quiet for an AT tire. I bought them on Amazon for $298, way less than elsewhere at $382, and they actually shipped directly from Simple Tire.

+1, ran them on my Dakota and recently put a set on my Ram. Quiet, smooth ride, long life, and much better traction and handling than the OEM rubber. Swallow hard, pay the bill, enjoy for the next 70k miles.

Best,
DG

Michelin Defender LTX M/S have a great mileage life. So far I have almost 31k on them and really like how they perform.
I have had Michelin tires in the past on the two Dakota pickups I used to own.
Yes they are a little expensive, but for the performance and mileage wear of 50k with proper maintenance they will last a while

I don't know if some people that still have the original tires that came on your Ram, but i suspect that you noticed that you can't take a tighter corner at highway speed when the road is damp

+1 On these. I had them on my last truck and really liked them. If you want a street tire these are a great choice. I almost went with them on my current truck, but I wanted the more aggressive look of an AT tire.

Cooper Discoverer AT at Walmart which is the old tread but a lot cheaper than the AT3 too.

Replaced the OEM Goodyear SR/As at 50k on 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab. Could’ve gone maybe another 5 k oil change but got a great deal at NTB on Continental Sure Contact LX. Paid about $675 including road hazard and alignment package for three years. Have about 27 k on them with little perceptible wear. A terrific on road tire, great dry or wet, but if you’re a serious four wheeler in rough country it is not an aggressive tread.

I have run Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza Plus on my 2011 after the factory Goodyear’s wore out within 20k miles. 3rd set on now averaged 70k miles on the first 2 sets. 30k on this set and hardly any wear. Secret is rotation and balance every 10k and have alignment checked yearly.
