Hey Folks,

Found this sitting on top of my engine when I popped the hood. I haven't had a good chance to take a closure look on where it could have came from. No squeals prior to looking. My check gauges light went off (the oil pressure sensor has been acting up in the cold so it may be a coincidence) and that's what made me pop the hood. Any thoughts?? Its 2008 Dodge ram 1500 mega cab with the 5.7

I am going to take a look in the AM. You may be right. A few weeks ago the throttle got stuck. I thought it may have just been my floor mat jamming the pedal as it hasn't happened since but I will take a look.

Turns out it wasn't hard rubber but plastic.... Hard to tell when it was -30 degrees celsius lol. But upon further inspection...it's a mangled idler pulley. The check gauges light went off due to the low voltage caused by low belt tension.
