'15 Ecodiesel... trying to figure out what this thing is with a red strap behind the panel. perfect panel for switches but would need to remove this.... strap/spring thing.... help identify it please!

It's to put it into neutral for when the dial shifter goes out or the battery is dead.

If you break down, lose power, and need a tow. Pull that strap and puts your transmission in neutral. Do not remove it.

Wow, I like that spot!
A surprising amount of clearance behind there, just needs 4 hex screws removed on the top of the gauges and the whole cluster pops out
