I have a 91 D250 reg cab D250 which i have my camper in the back off and the bench seat is uncomfortable, to me anyways. I have been looking for a seat of buckets and ceter console but so far all the seat i have found are worn out and would need to visit the uphosterer which can be $$$. Has anyone put any other seats in their 1st Gen? I am thinking about a 40/20/40 seat out of a 2nd Gen as i remeber the seats in my 97 reg cab were comfortable and they are readily available.

UPDATE: I put a set in my Crew Cab, maybe it was b/c I had extra room behind to cheat the seat where I wanted it, but I love these GEN 2 seats. I put the Club Cab seats with the seat belts integrated. I can post some pics later tonight. I am putting my carpet down and all the seats are out right now

I looked at a Regular cab with buckets in it and find the seat to steering wheel tight.

I installed the bucket seats out of my 00 Durango in my 89 w150.
Power adjustment and all works great.
I used the seat brackets off the original seat welded them to the new seat track.
Seats sit in same location as original seat

Resurrecting a dead thread, but you you have pictures of said Ram with Durango seats in it? I have a 92 standard cab that needs to loose a bench seat. :superhack:

Hey I'm new here. I'm not sure how this works.
It's probably been gone over a million times but I have question.
Have 81 ram and am wondering if gen 2 seat would fit in 1st gen single cab

Ive got a 1st and 2nd gen rc and I'm going to say not very well. The didtance from the steering wheel to the rear of the cab is very short.

I have what I believe are Gen 2 buckets from a Crew Cab (since the seats have the integrated buckles). While they are nice, the backs are much taller than the factory bench seat, causing the seat to sit quite vertical and also about 6" closer to the steering wheel. I'll be removing these for an original bench seat but may possibly use these in my Jeep.

it can be done obviously but my understanding is the gen 2 dashes were made of cheap material and just about every one has cracks from heat/sun. how to would likely involve low level bracket fabrication. will have to remove the windshield more than likely.
