82AE2931-8560-4168-B9FA-140C38182089.jpeg I have a 2017 Ram 1500 I’m looking to get some all terrain tires put on. I recently installed a 2.5 inch spacer in the front to level it out. I’m looking at getting some Nitto Ridge Grapplers and I’m torn between 285/65/20 and 285/60/20. I want to go as big as I can without any rub but I don’t know if the 285/65/20 will look too stuffed with my current setup. Stock tires are 275/60/20. If anyone has pics with either of these sizes I’m looking at please show!

Put a good 33x12.5 or a 35 on.

I had 285/60 20 Ridge Grapplers on my stock ride height 2wd 1500 with no rubbing. If you are leveled (and assuming 4wd), I would think 285/65 20 would fit no problem.

Yes it's 4WD. Do you have any pics of yours?

So your biggest issue is width because anything over 11 inches wide will touch the a arm not rub. You can fit a 33 no problem but if you are going to keep your oem wheels you might need spacers

Yeah I don't want anything that's going to poke out far at all, would prefer to have the tires flush with the fenders. My main concern is the height of the tires - I don't want them to look like they're squeeze in too much

Nice. Your rear end looks a little bit lower than mine for some reason, maybe just because you have those tires? I haven't touched the back of mine, just raised the front 2.5
It's possible it's the tires, or the 4wd could ride higher than the 2wd, not sure, but my truck is bone stock as far as suspension goes. I do have a few things in the bed, but I'm talking maybe 100 lbs, including the bed cover, so I dont think that would affect ride height any appreciable amount.

So I have 17's but I did run a 285/70r17 and I could barely fit a piece of paper between the A arm and the sidewall and it might have stuck out a 1/4 inch past the fenders (no flares on my truck)

Mine are a little shorter than what you’re after but gives you an idea. 2.5” or so from Icons. 275/65R20 Ridge Graps.

Here's my Son's 2017 1500 4x4. We just put Cooper ST Maxx 295/70/18 on Method Wheels. Stock height no level no rub looks fantastic and rides great!

Will 285s fit on OEM rims? And if they do fit, will I need spacers to avoid rubbing?

See post 6 above. 285/60 20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on OEM wheels, 2wd, stock height no spacers. No rubbing, no clashing, no issues. They fit fine. There was enough clearance from what I could see that they should fit on the 20x9 oem wheels as well, but I do not have those wheels (mine are 20x8) so I cannot confirm no rubbing.

I have a 2014 Laramie 4wd. I'm getting Bilsteins installed soon and will be getting new tires in a year or so. I'm thinking 285/65/20. How do I know if I have 20x9 or 20x8??

Nitto not highly-rated compared to others - check out General (Continental) Grabber ATX. #1 rated - I bought, can confirm. Less expensive than Nitto, BFG K0/2, etc.
