I found this same clip in my 2015 with a rear sliding window, on the passenger side far rear. I got quite excited when I found this thread with 20 comments. How disappointed am I that after 20 comments, no one is the wiser :hahano:.

As quoted to me by my friend at the assembly line. That is a Mystery Part to Torture Ram owners that find one. I'm just saying
No really I have no idea

That looks like the clip that goes in the bottom track for the rear sliding window. There is one on the far left and one on the far right. They hold the cable down.

Any problem with the cable if they are then missing?

No I don’t think having it missing will hurt it. But the cable may pop up a but and if it does the window may not open or close all the way but it wouldn’t be by much.

Is it actually in the bottom track holding the cable down?

Although i did not find one in my Ram
I would have to also guess at a cable guide for the sliding window.
I first thought that it looked like rear seat retainer clip that you cut off to do the rear seat mod, but those are made of white plastic

Look at where the glass guy bolts on the motor & connects the electrical connector, i think that i see one of those clips around the 21 minute mark, you can't tell what he is doing in the cab corner before that, the camera did not zoom in

By the way, did you see the electronic box next to the drivers side rear cab vent ?
That is the RF Hub or Module
Some people call the ignition switch by that name & they are incorrect

Well sorry guys. I think I’m wrong. Here is a couple pics from my rear slider. There are three clips and the cable does go thru them. The left and right are similar and the center is slightly different. The one shaped like a cross goes on left and right side the other is at the left edge of the sliding window.

Could be a subassembly part from the plant that someone was too lazy to grab and throw out. Let's say close to 1000 cars a day on two shifts..... could be the reason why so many of you have found it. Just a guess.

Looking a bit harder at the original clip. It is very similar to cable clips in some computer cases. There are large bundles of cables going up the c-pillars and across the rear wall to the RFHub. My best guess is it’s a cabling clip.

Just found one in my 2014 truck after replacing leaky exhauster vents. This is definitely too commonly found to be accidentally left by the factory.

I assumed it must be part of the seat I had to pull out. I have the split folding rear seats. Can’t see where it would go though.

So far everything is working fine so assume it’s not hurting anything.

As previously mentioned, wonder if is some temporary clip, maybe the wire loom for the sliding rear window is held on the rear seat assembly and then pulled off when installing that (or third light) inside truck. Probably supposed to be thrown away but installers miss them sometimes.
