I haven’t pulled with my truck very many times, but the biggest thing that I have hauled was my wife’s 2019 crew cab ram on a 16ft car hauler after she hit a cow. Her truck barely fit on my trailer. Towed it about 35 miles home and then another 20 miles the next day to the body shop.

I towed my brother 2003 Silverado 1500 HD 4X4 about 60 miles today. It was raining and I live on a dirt road. About 6 miles was on slippery muddy roads, but I only slipped a couple of times. Not bad for a 2WD!

It wasn't bad. This one is 31 to 33 ft I think including the tongue but has a slide out and is about 5800 plus dry. Found out the previous owner had put air bag assistance in after our first trip lol. Will find out next time we camp how much better that is. We also have a whd for the camper as well.

I’ve pulled all kinds of weird loads, but the last load I just pulled yesterday I knew the weight of. It was a 2100 lb uhual car carrier with a 2013 Hyundai Elantra that weighs roughly 2300 lbs. considering that I was pulling my max towing capability of 4400 the truck felt great. Average 13.7. Some city, mostly uphill highway. 91 miles.

temps stayed acceptable. Not really sure why that’s my max weight allowed becAuse I felt super stable, just a little slow at times.

I have a Diamond utility trailer that they told me that I need a 15" ball height. They lied. To run it level I have to use a 7.5 " drop hitch. It's awfully low, but it works. I have to take the wheel off the jack for clearance. I put 6" longer bolts using galvanized pipe for risers just to be able to use the wheel. I have a 13 1500 regular cab with the factory towing package, or at least I did until a woman ran a red light last week. But it towed fine. All of those utility trailers seem to be built with the same low tongue.

That’s interesting to hear. I’ve used my new WeighSafe drop hitch several times now and I just run it with the maximum of 6 inches drop. My trailer still rides like one of them goofy wannabe Baja pickups that looks like it’s dragging its butt on the ground but at least it’s not near as bad as it was when I used that 2” drop hitch I had before.

Traded in a 2018 Jayco X17z for a 2019 Jayco X23b earlier this month. Dry weigh of the new trailer 4400lbs and went from 18.5 feet to 24.5 feet. It was a 400 mile round trip from Long Island to PA and back. Truck did great especially for being a V6.
