Looks like your PCV system is doing a lil blow back, just IMHO.....

That, my friend is what oil and water look like when mixed under pressure.

Time you installed a catch can.

The can catches all that sludge before it gets back to the intake.

There are numerous cans out there. You'll get opinions soon. I can'r rec. any because I drive a 2500 w/ 392 motor. Doesn't have this common 1500 problem.

Be patient, there are very knowledgable people out there.

Ed.

UPR is now offering a catch can for the 2002-2005 5.7. Nick at Gotexhaust.com is a forum sponsor. "Looks" like moisture and engine vapor contaminates. How many miles?

191,000 miles. No chance it could be a head or head gasket problem?

That's why I asked about the miles. Could be HG. Not uncommon. How is your truck running, starting, accelerating.

Seems to run fine. Although it is starting to cut out on acceleration intermittenly, stall sometimes, but last time it did it randomly like it is starting to it was the spark plugs?

Stronger suspicion that you have a blown head gasket, considering the drive condition. Lets see what others suggest.

Ok pulled the pcv valve and cleaned it. Put it back in but broke the smaller o ring on it. Now the idle is all over the place seems like running with the fast idle on cant go past 40 without fuel cutout and a red light on right bottom of dash keeps flashing. Choke light??

Sigh...everyone freaks out so easily. That is the high point in the system; any condensation that is trying to evaporate off will end up there. If it doesn't have a chance to flash off then it will condense again and sit there and/or get into that line to the airbox. I find a little bit there every now and then but not too often since I get it to temp before I drive it, I rarely have short trips and I use synthetic oil (at 6000 mile changes). Do you let your engine warm up before you take off or just start and go? Are your trips normally short hops or is there some distance at a decent continuous speed? Do you use conventional or synthetic oil? Replace your PCV valve so it will run right again. How does your oil look? Unless you have raging chocolate shake or exhaust pressure in the coolant, it's fine. Clean it out, get it warm on a consistent basis and switch to a good synthetic if you don't use it already. People ***** that quality oil and filters are expensive; engines (and the labor to rebuild/replace them) are even more expensive.

Bout ******* time someone did lol, though I wonder if it is effective as the 09+ since the PCV system is a bit different.
