When can I order a 2020 2500?

What does "Restricted" mean? I just got off the phone with my salesman about an hour ago and he said I now have a VIN and estimated build date of 12/15.

Ordered my 2020 3500 tradesman on nov 11th. Just hit F status today.

Where do you get the status updates? I've gotten nothing for emails. If I get the VIN from my dealer is there a way I can check this?

Restriction is estimated ship dates are blank or inaccurate because they weren’t being built yet, “according to factory rep”.... I just looked again this morning and looks like they will be shipping soon

They have been available for order but ship dates were inaccurate they will be close now.

your estimated ship date should be accurate, I didn’t mean to cause any confusion but as a dealer I don’t like to give the estimate to customers who are chomping at the bits to get a new truck until the correct status shows up, restrictions vary for different locations and allocations of inventory.

Received a clarification from my dealer that I can order any time (based on when I want to take delivery I plan to order mid-January) but he can't order for dealer stock until some time in January. He confirmed that from his perspective they are building trucks for people who have already ordered.

FYI, go select the 2019 Ram you want to build, edit the URL from 2019 to 2020 and you will see the ram configurator on 2020s!

I got it to work and built my truck but I wish the "Get a quote" link at the bottom worked.

Does anybody have any idea when the new olive green color will be available on 2020 HD rams?

I just built one in the configurator by changing 2019 to 2020 in the URL and it does not list olive green as a color choice yet.

And yes, MSRP was a LOT higher than an identical 2019 since it doesn't yet list any factory incentives.

The 2019 configuration is misleading though, it gives a net employee price at the top but you can't order one anymore. Msrp is the same as 2019 but some of the options are slightly more expensive.

If you go build a 2020 2500 you will see the olive green as a color option and it's not too bad looking either.

Got an email from my dealer this morning... "I know you said you wanted to order in mid January, are you interested in ordering now?" I said I could probably find a way to get in before the end of the year if they made it VERY worth my while. We'll see...

Awesome Steve. I'm hoping to order within the next week or so myself. If you get there before I do, let me know what they tell you is expected delivery. I'm wondering if the six week turn around time is where they're at. Thanks and good luck.
