So I got my new TYC sport projectors in and my HID drop in kit from JJ at retro shop. I got the HIDs installed in the housings and went on to wiring up the resistors for the PNP harness to adapt my quads to projectors. Everything went in smoothly with no issues. Hardest part was finding a good place to mount the resistors. Anyway, on to the op check. Well I turn the lights on and the drivers side works like a champ but the passenger side flickered on for a moment and then cut out. I swapped each component one at a time in an attempt to get that one to work. No dice. Even with it plugged in on the drivers side(the side that does work) I get nothing from it except the turn signal. Frustrated and disappointed I put it all back to stock quad set up. All these lights are working but now my EVIC is saying I have both LH and RH front signal lights out!! I tried resetting by disconnecting the battery and touching the leads together and leaving the negative off for 15 minutes. No help. I'm going to be calling Jeremy on Monday to see if he can help as it seems I got a bad HID kit, the projectors work with the halogen bulbs in. Anyway, just thought I'd ask to see if anyone here has had a similar issue and might know where to start on this troubleshooting. Thanks guys

I had a similar issue with my tail lights. The EVIC does not like aftermarket lights.

jj will get you squared away...good luck

Yeah I've heard nothing but great things about him. That's what led me to purchase through him. Just stinks having new projectors and not being able to use them lol. The quad light struggle continues for another few days at least . Lol

Yeah did that lol. Got the OEM quads back in now and was able to get the drivers side to clear by cleaning the connector with some electrical contact cleaner. No such luck on the the passenger side though. All my connections are good. No pushes pins or loose wires. Grasping at straws at this point. Hoping JJ can lend a hand when I call him tomorrow

Well got it figured out. Turns out when I repinned the connector that goes to the light after sliding it through the grommet, the pins didn't lock in. I was so confident that wasn't the case that I skipped looking at those connectors[emoji849]. Well lessened learned and now to remount everything for the final install. Thanks iam_canadian22!

Glad you got it figured out. Sometimes those little electrical wiring issues are the most frustrating. Post pictures when you're done! :)

Well got it all done. Felt like a dummy but at least I got everything up and running. Unfortunately I did discover the dreaded ball joint pop [emoji30]. So Zone Auto UCAs on the way.
