Wondering if anyone has ordered a new pcm online and had any luck, I've read mixed reviews from flagship. Im looking to replace my pcm but looking for a good reputable company. Any info is appreciated. Thank you

I got one recently from flagship and it seems to be OK. Took a while to ship to Canada and their shipping cost was horrible but other than that I can't say much bad about it. Oh, actually a couple of things.... the Vin from the original vehicle as well as the mileage both are still visible.

everything could be reprogrammed but that costs, so better to find mechanic with stuff that can reprogram your pcm (do not buy cubes from Amazon, eBay etc.) guy needs to have expensive equipment. My worst experience with that cubes that have some pieces of code was programming keys to pcm. Everything works fine until your battery goes out then pcm is saying that you put wrong key and requires original one ….

Those guys are sometimes thieves & liars

for instance:

If you have a Dodge Ram, that has parts not normally on it, straight from the Factory

IE:

A Standard Shift Transmission
NEVER send the computer to them as a CORE
Pay the Core in Monetary Currency

They will send you a computer for a Automatic Transmission, no matter how many times you send it back
It will not work for you

Then you tell them that you want the original back
The Original is LOOOOOOONG GONE & the one they do send you is worthless to you

Also, anything that you do send them, take Pix & write everything down that has numbers on it
Have them SIGN for it

im not sure why you want a new PCM, but when i started making changes to my truck, i found a used PCM off of carparts.com (basically a junkyard inventory site)
it was low mileage and the same trim as mine (i also made sure it had the same partnumber as mine)

thats the one that i send out to be unlocked and tuned and what not
i kept the stocker on while they worked on it, so no downtime, and for the first 6 months after i swapped em out, i kept the stocker under the rear seat, untill i trusted everything to go well

Did the same when I got a tuner. Tuner sent me an unlocked PCM, with my vin and milage on it, latest software version and the tuner itself. Bought a used PCM off ebay for $65 for my '16. Same part number and software version (was for a '17) and sent that to the tuner as the core. Kept my unmollested OEM "just in case", figuring it is worth way more to me than the $65 ebay one and is a known good backup/spare...
