Which Coolant Thread from 4 Gen

This is the first time I can remember we peeled back this onion and revealed the truths about coolants with msds of most of them even mopar oat and hoat msds. You will notice Mopar Oat, the lone coolant of 5 gens, has a very unique additive package, but not a unique base. There is plenty of proof the additive packages are the culprit in coolant disasters and class action lawsuits, not the base. GM was successful at saying well yes there is widespread damage, but that only happens with their additive package PLUS other criteria that happen sometimes in cooling systems such as low coolant and other things. Long story short, if you are gonna opt for a non Mopar oat coolant, Peak Global Life is the same base as Mopar oat minus the additives. Additives are for quick protection of metal, the base of coolants are for long term protection of metal, that is how oat coolants populate the surface. Stay with mopar oat imo is the best strategy, but if you are gonna mix additive packages, chose the coolant that doesn't have an additive package, it is just the same base coolant as Mopar oat. Once a film has been established, all you need is the base. We should have done this long ago when member Syn brought up peak global life, but for whatever reason we didn't take it this far. details in the thread posted.
