Which engines fit 2004?

I'm trying to find a relatively cheap used engine for my 4.7 ram. Which 4.7s fit? I have found some jeeps, durangos, and 2oo2 rams, but i have yet to find a 2004 at a price i like.

the 02-07 4.7 from a Ram is gonna be the exact same as you have. The only difference I believe in the Durango 4.7 and Jeep 4.7 are the factory tunes in the PCM and the layout of the accessories like A/C lines, AC compressors and stuff. the 4.7 wasn't redesigned til 08.

2002 4.7 isn't going to work for you because of the different crank and cam tone wheels. You'll need at least a 2003 from a ram. Same thing for durangos, although I'm not exactly sure what year they changed.

When you're searching through junkyard sites or asking around, you need version with 4 PCM plugs (NGC) and 32T tone wheels.
