when it is quiet I can sometimes hear the white noise speakers make that swishing sound. Is there a way to turn this off?

Do you think it is the noise canceling system? What those systems do is find the sound wave from the road noise or whatever it picks up and puts out an opposite sound wave to cancel it out. I dont have my truck yet to know for sure, but there should be no noise with it unless it has an issue.

Yes, it's the noise cancelling system. Maybe the cabin is so quiet that the noise cancelling needs noise cancelling. You can hear it once in a while from the speaker. Once it came on when my wife started to talk LOL.

What you need is to figure out a way to modify it so it cancels the sound of your wife's voice when she's in the passenger seat.

there is a post about how to disconnect those. I did mine a few days ago to get rid of the droning sound it made on the highway.
