Who's got their shifter on the center console?

I'm not sure if only the sport model comes with the shifter on the center console? My truck is the only one I've seen with the shifter like this. Its taken a little getting used to but it feels a lot like my Challenger now that I've had the truck for awhile. Also I've added a couple of new mods. Front seat covers and a new front license plate to cover up the unsightly screws that were up front. And a new rear reciever hitch cover. The state of NM doesn't require a state license plate on the front. Here' a few pics of my shifter and mods.

Nice seat covers!
I've got a Big Horn with the console shifter. Rams with the fold up bench seat have the column shifter, and the ones with the center console have the console shifter. At least from what I've seen. I love the console shifter though

I'm not sure what year your truck is, but from what I've seen most 4th Gen. Ram trucks through 2013 that I've seen have the shifter on the column. My previous 2011 had a column shifter. And most from 2014 through 2017 have the knob shifter on the instrument panel just to the right of where the key or start button is. On my truck it where the shifter for the 4WD is?????

I'm with you. I'm really diggin the console shifter too. I've looked at a lot of RAM trucks over the past several years and so far I've only seen two that had a console shifter. Mine was the first I'd seen.

Don't think the center console/shifter is model specific. My first 09 was an SLT, 4x4 4.7, chrome bumpers, grille and emblems and it had a column shifter. My current 09 is also an SLT, but whoever ordered it got the center console, sport package, and bunch of other stuff. Personally, I'd rather have the floor space and column shifter.

I'm guessing there are some models that come with it standard, but you may be able to order it with any model?

I'm guessing you are right. There doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason for the center console shifter. I'm thinking you can order it on any model. My Sport has a good number of special order items.

BTW I've always like that Detonator yellow. That color came out in 2010 on the Dodge Challengers. I still see a few of them around. They look really sharp with black side stripes. Nice looking truck.

Ya I think the 8 speed came out in either 2014 or 2015 on the trucks and thats also when they went to the knob shifter. I'm a member of a local Mopar club and several of the guys have Ram trucks as well as a Charger, Challenger, or some other oldschool Mopar......It seems like it's universal .......no one likes that knob shifter. I know I avoided that when looking for a new truck.

The knob shifter is specific to the 8 speed transmissions. The console shifter only comes on the 5/6 speed transmissions. Unless you retrofit it into a 3rd gen haha

looks good man, i've got a 13' sport and it has the same shifter, kinda wish i had the dial for the extra space but i don't hate it

So would I. And I'd want the individual gear selector buttons on the steering wheel to be part of the floor shifter.
