Sounds like you don't know much about Dodge products. The SRT4 Dodge Neon would run the quarter mile in 14 seconds at 103 MPH with a top speed of 153 MPH. Zero to sixty time was 5 seconds, not too bad for a 4 cylinder factory hot rod right off the showroom floor. I didn't have one but did test drive a new one back when the came out. They had a six speed standard and it was lots of fun th drive. This little hot rod would certainly embarrass your Ram 5.7 at the track.I’m sure it was a real screamer ... Probably had one of those annoying fart-can exhausts to make it sound like the rest of the ricers runnin up and down the blvd

Turbo bangers are fun, you're missing out restricting yourself. The best are muffler-less ones like the mentioned SRT4 or Abarth, that pop, gurgle, whistle, and pchewww as you race around. NAs can be really fun too if you get a high RPM screamer like my old Yamaha which was a riot over 10K rpm! Chocolate ice cream is great, but there's a lot of other flavors out there to enjoy.
There's no replacement for displacement.
BUT... remember turbochargers add effective displacement.![]()

GREAT RESPONSE.The same people put wings on the back of Dodge Neons ... You can’t fix stupid ... People like this are the reason there are instructions on the back of shampoo bottles

LOL at the 8.5l engine. That is fantastic.Regarding displacement, Amen Jes.,
While I do give the tuners a TON of credit for what they get out of pint-sized motors, I prefer Big Blocks for making serious torque (BIG torque gets you there quickly, HP maintains the speed).
I run an normally aspirated 8.5L in my fun car, Tremec 5 speed. My best 1/4 on street tires is 11.41 (but as soon as I run below 11.50 I get asked to leave to the drag strip due to not having a full cage, etc..., so I try and save my best run for last.).
It's all about hookup. Some of these AWD tuners launch VERY quickly, but I usually end up passing them pretty handily @ 1/2 way down the strip. Nearly 700Ft-Lbs will do that.
Props to the new gen. of car nuts though!

Only SRT4 owners can appreciate the PTSD from years of "its just a riced Neon with a wing" bashing. *rocks back and forth in the fetal position mumbling*Besides, who said anything about factory spoilers on SRT4’s

I did put aon there though.
Found it. Dont know for sure if it has been de-stroked. I kinda assumed a big V8 doesn't normally like to rev to 8600rpm. Even if it is a twin cam lol.
Still. Sounds absolutely amazing, just wish they had a better camera
