So today my wife decided to jump her car by connecting to what I believe to be two fuses on the battery of my '16 ED. I now have no power steering. Looks like there's a 125a and 250a fuse that she probably blew. I ordered replacements from the dealer but wanted to see if anyone else has done this before? When the new fuses arrive is it as simple as putting the new ones on and all will be well again, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

That's one thing I don't have to worry about . My wife won't open a hood. Hopefully it's just a fuse.

It should work fine after you replace the fuses. I would disconnect the negative terminal for a few minuts while replacing the fuse to help reset things.

Cant hurt

Disconnect the battery before you pull and replace the fuses.

Haven't thoroughly looked at it but I caught a glimpse of the positive, didn't see the negative as most the battery was covered with the insulator

Didn't check the fuses but knew it HAD to be the cause as the jumper cables were attached to them, and my suspicion was confirmed tonight when I replaced them and got my power steering back! In case anyone else ever makes this mistake, here's the part numbers for the fuses. There's a 125amp and a 250amp fuse.

Is there two or three fuses? On my '15 EcoD there is three.
Battery mounted fuses, the terminals with the black caps can not be used to jump start or charge with:

You're correct, there are in fact 3. Nothing was hooked up to the 3rd fuse (the one between the 125 and 250a) so I didn't bother with it. Didn't even look to see what amp that one was. Funny thing in the manual it only shows the 2 I had originally mentioned, didn't say squat about the other one LOL

For those fuses to have blown, she got the polarity of the jumper leads crossed when she did the jump.
