Win Module with Remote Start

Hello All,

First time poster with a question.

My 2012 Ram 1500 has a bad WIN module that will not allow the truck to start. I am working on ordering a replacement. My current WIN module has remote start. When I replace the module, does the new one need to have remote start as well?

I do not use the remote start and it is not a necessity.

You can bypass that win module if desired, see below vid. Yes you need to get one compatible with remote start, those cheap less the 200 buck models dont support remote start, and likely have to have it programmed by a dealer or locksmith either way.

You can see some are labeled remote start.

Instead of replacing WIN module just bypass the start function of it by using a push button switch wired into the start relay
