i bought a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 not quiet a month ago. I noticed the wind noise 2 days after we bought it. Took it back to the dealership and they confirmed the noise and said it needed new door seals! Replaced them last Friday and it still has the noise. Can you give me some help on this?

Roll your window down and give the top of the door a few good yanks to bend the door toward the body. It will tighten the seal and door back up. I put my knee on the door panel and pull the top while standing on my running board.

That's an excellent tip. Sometimes I like to put a sheet of paper between the door and the seal too to double check how hard / easy it pulls out. I like it when the paper is pinched in there really tight and almost rips coming out. If I want to find a water / air leak, I put someone on the inside and blast it with a garden hose too.

The old dollar bill test. Yes that works good to pinpoint. Close a dollar bill in the door with the window down and walk it back and forth around the door seal you’ll feel it get loose and tight. Mark the loose spots and pull the weather stripping off in the marked areas. I normally use a sliver of dynamat on the metal and stick the weather seal back over it pushing it out

Did you install a different antenna? I had a Sierra that whistled because of a shorty antenna. Drove me insane.

My 2015 makes a high pitch whistling noise. Its something to do with the re-circulation door inside the ac. Try turning the max a/c off, then hit the recirc button on the air speed knob twice (light will go off). Cannot turn off with temp in Max A/C. If noise goes away this is your problem.

It's most likely the mirrors. Put some masking tape around where the mirrors attach to the doors and see if it goes away. I took them off and used foam weather stripping to seal around them and it is gone now.

I have that but goes away if I push up on the shift lever. I only hear it in 6th gear though

Mine truck is a 8-Speed so no lever. My whistling may be because changing front bumper. Im sure a lot more air is hitting firewall area now that is causing it to come in through a/c.

If you know the door and window seals are OK most likely its the seal around the windshield. This happens more often then most know of. This usually happens around the corners where the caulking-adhesive was not thick enough to seal. I have had two truck in ten years have this problem. The dealers went crazy trying to fix this but never could. When I had the windshields replaced due to rock damage the problem was solved. Check it out, just might be this.
