Did mine a week or two after purchasing the truck. Looks much better without it. Really easy to do.

Mine was doing the same thing and it looked super cheap. Since my window tint is kinda dark I ordered a gloss vinyl to replace it to have it flow between my windows and I love the way it turned out.

I like that gloss look!
On a white truck with black windows the strips make the windows flow imo.
Mine has started to fade even after 303 treatments religiously. Where did you get the gloss from?

I had a 14 Mega cab in max steel- I did the handles in black gloss vynal- it looked awesome!

The wheels i'm picking out are silver so it'll flow with the big horn chrome other wise i'd try and do black accents or try and get it all color matched. I have seen a Max Steel with black accents with black wheels and it did look good

Nice thing about vinyl is it’s cheap and relatively easy, maybe go to a gun metal grey to match the rims.

Most window tinting shops also do vinyl. and usually you can get some from them. I cut my own decals with the wife's hobby cutter. Just make sure you use automotive (exterior) vinyl, the hobby vinyl won't last too long.

Here is a photoshop of what it will look like (2 decals are PS'd too)

I will be doing the gloss here in a bit and since we name all of our vehicles, going to do the name tomorrow

Removed them from my 2012. Warm them up, peel slowly and evenly.

Did mine because it was wrinkled. Those white trucks sure look sharp with the vinyl in place however. I think it depends on the color of the truck and personal preference. It is easy enough to take off and put on again if you change your mind.

For some reason I couldn't include a picture with my previous post. This was mine from a few weeks back. I like this look better too.

I ordered my vinyl from Metro Restyling out in Las Vegas.

I brought my truck in for one of the recalls and asked if they can remove them. It was only 2 yrs old and they were wrinking. They did. Looks 1000x better.

What’s under the vinyl wrap? Is it color matched under there

Same paint as elsewhere. IMO looks a lot cleaner without the vinyl. Easy to remove if warmed up with hair dryer or heat gun. It don’t overdo the heat...just enough to peel the vinyl off.

Yeah that't the method I went with. I used a hair dryer and heated it up enough to peel it off. The longest part was just using some goo gone and getting all the glue off underneath the wrap. I agree I like the look of it being clean without the wrap
