Windshield replacement

Getting my 2017 windshield changed after being hit by a large round metal object. Getting OEM glass at Safelite. Should I replace the side windshield trim or just leave as is?

If it's damaged then now would be the time to change it. If the trim is ok why change it?

Most windshield companies have 2 windshield companies that they deal with
ONE is OEM
the other is from overseas

The overseas company windshields pit quite easily

Just had mine replaced on my 2020 at SAFElite. Got the OEM MOPAR windshield. SAFElite did a good job, I’m sure you’ll be pleased. As to the trim…… well, if it ain't broke don’t fix it……
