1997 ram 1500 sport. It happened twice 3 months apart . Got in to start her on way to work and it acted like it was out of gas? Plenty of cranking power. new starter, battery, alternator. Towed to mechanics garage. Result,, it wouldn't start for them either until they put gas peddle to the floor and after several attempts it rumbled a little and then finally started and drove perfectly until it happened again 3 months later. Knowing what to do, I went through the same process immediately flooring it and after about 11 tried she began showing signs of life and then started then drove perfectly again. Truck has 363,000 miles crate motor about 88,000. It's seems obvious it,s something electronic. Anyone have any ideas?? Gen 2 computer has no long term memory. Appreciate any help.
