I have the Laramie Longhorn with the barn wood trim. I like the look, but it has a slightly dull or dry appearance. Has anyone used a polish or some type of finishing oil to bring out a bit of the grain? I'm not looking for anything glossy just a deeper grained matte look.

Never touched mine so far. I can imagine, what you are suggestingmight be a good thing to try. Guess a little pledge couldnt hurt anything. I would experiment on a small spot first just to make sure its going to look OK.

It's real wood. I had mine detailed shortly after I got it, I will ask the gent that did mine what he used. I know he used an interior protectant, but it made the interior have a nice satin look to it.

I'm not sure it's real wood. There is no actual tactile texture. Feels like a synthetic to me. How do you know it's real wood OC455?

I probably should have been more specific. I was talking about the steering wheel. The Longhorn steering wheel I put in my Laramie is almost certainly not real wood. It resembles the look of wood, but the feel of it and up close viewing makes me think it's not real wood. Same with the steering wheel in my wife's Limited. The dash looks like it could be real wood, but not the steering wheel.

Here's my wheel, maybe compare the pics of mine with the wheel in your Laramie and see if there are differences in the grain or not. Wood grain is like a finger print, they are all different.

All I can say is too me it looks like real wood and as far as the tactile feel of it, I'm pretty sure they are run through a CNC to maintain uniformity, stained and sealed so you really would not feel the difference.83f9056d0ae7419d8e84c8e78816bc68.jpg19bce403a5efc92a491996295a477cfa.jpgb51fed6bc1902c258dcb4a1c90cfb349.jpg504860f5d4932245267cffdfbea7c222.jpgfa5aaaf479cf8d68714d7603c5966d64.jpg89086a8e014fb939f1d0e2226a3de19e.jpg0e98fd3e324dfc239d03f0c68bd7d297.jpg629fb367d337d7fe0762ecd557364d4b.jpg

I'll try to remember to take pics when I get home from work today. Yours definitely looks like real wood. And as far as feel goes, I've driven other vehicles with wood steering wheel inserts, and you could definitely tell they were real wood. Mine has a different feel.

Sorry, I haven't had time to do that. Okay, to be honest it's the dreaded CRS syndrome. Hopefully I'll remember to do that when I do have time.

That's awesome!

So the black and gray trim in my limited plastic or wood? It sure seems like plastic.
