I currently have a 2014 Ram 1500 Big Horn with a 6 inch BDS lift kit on it rocking Bilstein 5100 all the way around. I’d like to knock it down from a 6 to a 4 inch lift if possible. Has anyone heard of someone successfully doing this and if so does that involve buying the whole new 4 inch kit?

Looking at the part lists I would think I just need to get a few different parts and swap them out.

Any help ( to include parts list) would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a strut spacer with the stock length struts, or full 6” struts? And what does the rear have, new coils or spacers?

From what I understand, the drop brackets for the a-arms are the same with each kit.

Rear has new coils.
Front has spacers.

Hey. Any reason why you want to go lower as opposed to higher?

Primary reason is the dog is getting a little older and don’t like him jumping in and out of something that high. Also going to get smaller diameter tires in the future.

There is also a wiggle in the back end that no one can figure out and I would like to think getting it closer to stock height might get rid of it.

Which notch is your Bils set to up front? And do you know if you have the 3" or 5" rear coils in the back? I'm assuming 5 but 3 is an option with the 6" lift as well. But yes you can swap out a few components to achieve the 4", as most of the parts on both kits are the same.

I know BDS do sell parts individually, but probably worth looking to see if Zone do as well, as it would save a few bucks for essentially the same parts.

Would need the 4" struts up front (02267B). I see the 6" kit comes with the new brake lines up front, whereas the 4" uses a bracket, but I think you'd be able to keep the new brake lines.
For the rear would need the 3" coils (032309R), shorter sway bar links (911103), upper coil retainers (01894), driver and pass bump stop spacers (03574 and 03575), Bolt Pack - Rear Bump Stops (477), and Bolt Pack - Coil Spring Retainer (599).
Probably not a bad idea to go with shorter rear shocks as well. I think that should be pretty well it, but I'd double check the manuals and/or confirm with them when you call

The wiggle in the back could be control arms, how many miles on the truck? A lot of people have upgraded to the adjustable Core or Clayton arms
