Has anyone installed yellow/amber LED fog light bulbs instead of white? I did LEDs in the high and low beams, and love them.

It's usually dark, or just before daylight when I go to work. There are a lot of deer where I live, and I have to drive through three long dips where it's usually foggy.

I'm wondering if the yellow will cut through the fog better like I have read.

Thanks for any insight.

I have Axito or however it is spelled, was a simple plug and go, then aimed since they are MUCH brighter than the yellow halogen fogs that they replaced, as well as much more of a yellow light.

PIAA yellow fogs are off the chain, my best upgrade ever on any 4x4. You can see the road like 5 times better then headlights, in fact it is on par with high beams but better periphery vision. You will see deer on the side of the road you never knew where there. Best part, because they are yellow they are not offensive or dangerous like high beams can be. Yes yellow is also good for fog, but that doesnt tell the entire story, PIAA's blow away anything you get oem in all things. A lot of guys upgrade their headlights and that can be a pain, just tie in PIAA's to fog button you will never lack vision.

I upgraded from Sylvania yellow bulbs to Morimoto yellow led projectors, I'm underwhelmed by them. In retrospect I'd do the Morimoto Bangers pods, the Diode Dynamic pods, or the Baja Designs pods. They all make plug and play kits.

If you do this, post pics and your thoughts.
I want to do the same on my truck.
Let me know how the bulbs fit and all.
Thanks

I have them in my 2016. However, I haven't driven in fog or snow to see how well they work.
White LED light should be about the worst light that you can have for fog or snow.
Where the fog beam shines is more important than color, a fog pattern should stay low and wide. I've drove in near white out conditions with just my DiodeDynamics SS3 SAE Pro level fogs (white not yellow), they worked great.

You might know a thing or two about oil but an SAE Fog pattern has to do with the beam shape not the color or brightness.
I stand corrected. I will have to look up the difference with actual beams. Thanks for the correction. I was happy with my non sae pattern, maybe I would have been just as happy with sae.
