Nobody needs 700hp but they want it. The Rebel TR was rumoured to be a 7.0L hemi with around 500hp, but haven’t heard much more beyond rumours.
If they actually do make it’s going to price itself way out of most people’s pocket books. Likely be the same story as the trackhawk, dealers will have a hard time selling a near $90,000USD plus truck.
At one time we had 3 trackhawks on our lot for long enough that they all started getting used as demos by some of the managers.
90,000usd which is roughly 130,000cad. I’m in Canada but there’s more people her in the US than Canada so that’s why I used usd.Pffft $90,000??? That's a helluva bargain. Trackhawks are going for $135,000 here in Canada. Like gimme a break.
They probably will list for $90,000.
And to make matters worse they won’t discount them. At least not at first.
It'll be interesting to see where they go with the price. You may be right, but that's quite a jump from Raptor pricing which starts at about 60k (2020 model). Some other considerations - Trail Boss starts at about 50k, Rebel at 45k and stepping down to a ZR2 is about 45k starting price (if you want to consider it in the same realm). I just don't think many off road truck buyers would be willing to go up to 90k for the motor. I'm thinking they'll have to try and keep it in the 75k MSRP range, and dealer markup's will definitely happen at 1st release. I'm just a consumer, but that's how I'd look at it if I were in the market for something new. We're all just guessing at this point, so time will tell.
Sorry but you're dreaming.
Is a Trackhawk (starting $87,095) any more of a vehicle than a RAM? OK, maybe a touch (or maybe not - depending what you want to use it for).
Good to see you slacadjuster! Isn't 90,000 usd around 130,000 cad anyway? How are those trackhawks selling up there? Weren't selling great around my area.
