Ram Eco Diesel Hose busted on radiator flush

Here is what it looks like with the transmission and transfer case removed. Can't really do anything to service the hose from the rear of the engine other than free up the rear hard line fitting. The other end requires removing the intake manifold as shown in the previous video. Some serious...

Ram Eco Diesel Hose busted on radiator flush

Probably the turbo coolant hose. It is a biotch to replace since it is under the intake manifold in the valley between the cylinder banks. It can be done without pulling the cab. However, the new part must be disassembled and only the rubber hose and front hard line are used. The rear hardline...

    Transmission Rebuild not shifting properly

If it is a 68RFE, they do have a bit of shift flare from the factory. The RPM's go up slightly, 100 rpm or so, during the shift as a torque management technique. Does the tuner also have a transmission tune? I have never heard of a "dead spot" in an IC engine. If the turbo was malfunctioning...

Issues with 2024 HD 2500 RAM

The service department motto is “We make excuses, not repairs” is probably a red flag to find a new dealer if possible.

Issues with 2024 HD 2500 RAM

Was the tender one of the Noco permanent install types and left installed when taken to the dealer? If so, $5 says they will now blame the “aftermarket” device installed under the hood.

Yikes! Look What the Dealership Wants For This Easy Service

Don’t know. It depends on their hourly labor rate and the book time for each service. How much do you think each of those services should cost? Independent shop usually have a slightly lower hourly rate and use non-Mopar branded fluids. Those are common services so shop around and see what a...

Well this was not nice - computer did a hard reset I guess.

Iirc, if you don’t respond to the prompt it will assume the vehicle is not being used and proceed with the update. Bad assumption. IMHO it would be better to bring up a date/time selector and allow the operator to schedule the update for when they know they won’t be needing the vehicle.

    RAM Customer Care Nightmare

Hence why I requested more facts and called it one sided. Never wanted to be a detective. Seems the profession is filled with self-aggrandizing jack wagons.

    RAM Customer Care Nightmare

The vehicle was designed as a conveyance for people and cargo from point A to point B. Using it as a permanent residence is not what the vehicle or the support infrastructure ( dealership, customer service, parts, etc. ) is designed to accommodate. The 44A recall is for unintended parking pawl...

DRIVE SHAFT TWISTED SNAPPED IN HALF

The rear yoke has a pretty crappy looking weld. Wondering if that is indicative of the overall quality of the drive shaft?

GOOD OR BAD? FLORIDA Service department at DODGE dealership vs general mechanic

If you are looking for a good independent shop, Willowbend Automotive in Land O Lakes is who I used when I lived thatcarea. Great independent shop with nice folks running the place and competent mechanics.

Beware of potential scammers. They are out there trolling wanted and for sale ads on all sites.

Last thing I listed on Craigslist many years ago was a golf cart. One guy wanted to pay part in cash and the rest a trade for two Cockatiels and a 10 pound box of Jelly Belly jelly beans. Just bonkers.

I quit listing stuff on places like Craigslist years ago. It is just a cesspool of scammers.

If it is throwing codes for equipment that is no longer on the truck, you have 2 choices; replace the missing equipment or find a new tuner and tune to match what is on the truck.

    Gas vs Diesel

For business use, I would be in the rental camp. An F550 diesel with a gooseneck hitch would be ~$9k for the six weeks including mileage charge. The expense should be deductible so there is that aspect. Also, the factory warranty is considerably shorter when buying a truck for business use...

The EPA and state environment departments are really cracking down on tuners. Many of the big names have taken “early retirement “. There are still a few out there but they have been driven underground. Expect a thorough vetting before you will be admitted to their forums. Most will require you...

    AlfaOBD or Appcar

AlfaOBD is a tool for accessing various computer modules on FCA vehicles. There are probably a 100 or so models and each model has a dozen or so computer modules. Each computer module has hundreds of parameters that can be changed. The task of documenting all of that would be monumental. So yes...
