The clip near the round hole at the center of the rear bumper. Cap is broken and the bumper cap won’t lay down. It bows up when sun hits it has anyone tried to resecure it without the clip. I’ve tried industrial strength double sided tape with no success has anyone tried to glue it down?

Did you try something like this. A 3m molding adhesive tape with red plastic is pretty tough. However, it won't overcome if the plastic is warping as that will put too much pressure away from the steel. You may need to fasten with stainless screws.

Yes, that’s the exact stuff I used. Thinking will try liquid nails, clamp it for a couple days. See if that works.

I replaced the whole plastic cover on my neighbours bumper a few years back, and the new cover wasn't all that much through the dealer.I think it was just over 50 bucks at the time, but that was before the covid price hikes.Might be worth getting ahold of Benny and seeing what a complete new cover is worth.

Yeah, consider just replacing. It. Looks like after Mark is $70-$80 and OEM is $175 and up. Just trying to avoid to go through the hassle of pulling the bumper off to replace the top pad.
