My last truck and my current truck both have had the factory spray-in liner, other than one chip in it on my last truck (that looked like it flaked off, but I literally just stuck it back in place and believe it or not it stayed put til I got rid of the truck...still baffled by that) they've held up well to sharp tools, wood, concrete blocks, etc. etc. A little rough on bare knees though.
I had a slide-in one in an older truck, pulled it out because it was loose, found it had been wearing the paint off (bought the truck used). Never bothered to put anything else in.
Wife's Ford had a slide-in, it was nice and durable but way too slick, things would slide around so I had to get her the 'bed extender' that folds out of the way to keep things from sliding all the way to the front.
I've put a LineX one in her current truck. We don't haul much with it, but wanted something that if it got wet wouldn't hold water like a bedrug would. The LineX works pretty good, stuff doesn't slide around, yes it's rough on bare knees but again we don't usually have to crawl around back there much mostly because I can reach over the side and it's the 5'7 box. It spends its life under a tonneau cover so I can't comment on the UV resistance.
