Protecting bed step

Just bought 2024 with MFT. Has anybody applied an adhesive anti-slip tape on this step. Does it hold up or peel off?

I think if I were to do something like that, I would use skateboard grip tape.

I've used this item outside on pressure treated wood and painted concrete. I'm positive it will stick to your truck
