    I'm pretty sure you will have to have your driveshaft modified. I was contemplating putting a 518 in my 1987 D150 and I was told the driveshaft would have to be shortened.

    Did the power rams have a hood ornament?

    Every Royal SE and LE trim level truck I have owned originally came with the ram head ornament. None of the others have/had them.

    Unfortunately yes. Out of three trucks that I have that came with the Ram hood ornament, only one remains. Seems it was fun for people to rip them off back in the day. I do have one new oem ornament in the box but I'm very hesitant to install it for fear of theft.

    What are these?

    They are factory and only come with the Ram trucks that have the multi-function tailgate. Supposedly provide corner support and removing them allegedly voids the warranty. This info comes from my buddy whose new truck has them and that is what the dealership told him. He wanted to remove them...

    The transmission will be the same. The engine swap will require a different PCM for the 360. The PCM's are very year/option specific also.
