What DON'T you like about your RAM?

The little locking button on the exterior door handle has a several second delay before I can use it to lock the truck. Just let me shut the door and lock the damn truck right away.

    Power stop breakes

Warm up the brakes by slowing from around 45 mph to 15 mph a few times, then brake hard 3-4 times from 60 mph to around 15 mph. Brake hard == brake as hard as you can without triggering the ABS or locking up any wheels.

Setting tire size and gear ratio with both AlphaOBD and Edge Pulsar

Took me a while as the orignal Pulsar tuner I got was throwing some cylinder 6 error codes. Got a new unit from Edge/Holley and it all works now. As far as setting tire size, it can be done in the Pulsar or in AlphaOBD, but NOT both. I chose AlphaOBD as it allows you to set the precise tire...

    Thefts

Let them cry. Saving our cats is far more important than their feelings haha. My suggestion in this thread involved the theives getting crushed by my driveline... Which is pretty tame to other nations using flamethrowers to deal with theives... https://youtu.be/aLhWzMOccTg

    Thefts

Rebar would definitely help. Any sort of difficult to cut material between the cats and the thief will help mitigate theft since thiefs want an easy score. After I got my skid plates fabricated I never had my cats stolen again. Is this sarcasm.

21mm crowfoot for rear upper shock nut?

Yeah they definitely should have come tabbed from the factory. Even with a 3" body lift I still couldn't get any tools to fit. The Thuren kit is ordered and en route. :)

    6” lifted shock options

Got it, that's what I figured, thank you. I'll just wait till I can do it all at once then.

    6” lifted shock options

What's the height adjustment range on the Fox 2.5s? Is the min/max strictly 4" - 6" or can they be lowered closer to 3" - 3.5" of lift? If they can, will they cycle reliably that close to the bottom of the stroke? I had to get a new retaining wall and fence at the new place (FML) so I'm trying...

21mm crowfoot for rear upper shock nut?

I appreciate all the replies. And I just noticed the Thuren kit includes a wrench as well... It's a done deal then.

21mm crowfoot for rear upper shock nut?

Is there a better tool for holding the rear upper shock nut in place or will a 21mm crowfoot suffice? None of my 21mm anythings fit back there. :( Also are these tabbed/bracketed, or whatever they are, nuts fairly durable...

    6” lifted shock options

Full length 2.0s would be nice as you can ditch the front spacers. I'm still debating between the 6112 and 2.0s with a Zone kit. Planning on ordering from Nick@gotexhaust as soon as I figure my **** out lol.

    Poll best TRUCK tire?

Goodyear bought Cooper? That means Mickey T, **** C, and Mastercraft are all under Goodyear as well? Interesting. I've always used BFGs or Generals, but ended up with some Cooper MTs since they were the only USA made tires available in the size I wanted... So far so good for on road and wet...

    Brake Pads

Has anyone had any issues with cracking in cold environments with the Power Stop Z36 rotors? Seems like they only offer these with slots and cross drilled. :/ Edit: looks like Raybestos and Stoptech both make pads, rotors, and calipers for Rams as well... We used to run these on our track cars...

Tire pressure settings when running bigger tires

AlphaOBD will do the trick (check the 4th Gen DIY section of this forum for instructions) as already mentioned. The 4 digit pin for resetting the RF Hub is required as well. AlphaOBD can read this pin, or you can get it from the dealer.

    Thefts

I dealt with this on a previous truck and ended up having a custom 1/4" steel skid plate fabricated to protect my cats and transfer case. The plate was tied into the transmission crossmember so the thieves would have been crushed by the driveline if they tried to unbolt it. What I did was a...

Tire Size Change at the Dealership

AlphaOBD can change your tiresize so your speedo, shift points, etc are accurate, and will likely cost less than the dealer doing it.

    Level with stock size wheels?

Air bags will definitely help with squatting under load and 33s and a level will look just fine. What matters most is will you like the way they look and function. :) Disregard your wallet and your hearing... get 40 inch Super Swampers. - Fellow Chuckler :Big Laugh:

Ram Riding and Handling absolutely terrible!

That kind of looks like a bracket from a Superlift kit on your front end. If that's the case, I'd keep the lift and spend that $2500 on full length coilovers to ditch the spacers and some rear shocks instead. Edit: Here is the Superlift kit if you want to compare...

    Tires

Most 275/65R20 tires are rated/tested for 7.5-9.5'' wide wheels (check the specific brand, model, and size for its exact wheel width range), as others here have stated. They can be mounted on a 20x10, but the tire will be slightly stretched and the sidewall will be under a little stress. Might...

    Does MDS actually save fuel?

Mine may be more of an oil temp issue as the tick lasts for a few minutes until the engine is warm. I just realized this may also be a result of my exhaust manifold hardware... So many minor annoyances to fix on this truck. Using a decent RP filter should resolve potential issues with the...

    Does MDS actually save fuel?

I get slightly better mileage with MDS off sadly. :( While we are discussing viscosities and my laziness to read all 8000 pages of the oil thread... Does Redline 0w20 help with startup tick in cold weather? I'm due for my first oil change on this ram I just bought, no idea what oil the previous...
