My used 2014 Ram 1500 SLT Crew Cab came with a Black Vinyl Floor Covering and no floor mats. The floor covering looks fantastic and like new but it is very, very slippery. I've bought floor mats for the front but they don't stay in place. Stuff placed on the floor in the back seat area slides everywhere. I know this is a small issue but I find it extremely annoying. I suspect there may have been a detailing product applied to the floor covering to make it slippery but I don't know for sure.

I'm thinking I need a special full length floor mat that has a rubber bottom or something to grip to the floor covering. I may also need to rough up the floor covering somehow to make it less slippery.

Anyway, has anyone else had this problem and what would be the best fix?

I used double sided tape when I had rubber floors and mats.

They likely used armor-all on the floor. Had my fleet truck sent out for a cleaning and the fools did that... slicker than greased snot for weeks.

That's likely what it is. Maybe in time it will wear off.

409 will take it off. Just spray the floor very liberally and while off

Yeah, I'd get that off fast. A good degreaser should help.
