I had contacted superchips regarding their updates as every time I plugged mine in it would update to a newer version.. wasn't sure if it was like V&H and their FP3 for motorcycles which every time there is an update it is generally due to a tweaking of the canned tunes and functional updates.. I had also asked them why fan temp control wasn't built in to the software..
with that said every time I updated it they tried to sell me an extended warranty which I guess is why nowhere in their directions does it state that there is no need to update if it is working properly.. I mean if it works and you don't need to plug it in they cant hawk the warranty
