You are way more patient than I!! That is probably a good thing, I'm sure I would have gone ape **** by now dealing with what you have had to deal with!!

Well boys I triggered a regen after 116 miles after leaving the dealership Friday. When I come to a complete stop the cab fills full of smoke.

I happen to be on my way home work when it triggered and I happen to live 2 miles from the dealership. I pulled right into the service center and asked the manager to take a ride. He is baffled I was in regen after 116 miles and when the smoke filled the cab I could hear his guts sink. We were able to have an actual nice conversation with out name calling. I explained they need to start making phone call. I email Ram care again to put my truck in for a buy back.

Sorry to hear this after all the part they changed and testing.. Being I personally have had a few conversations with this manager I'm glad he was cordial with you, but then the smoke filling the cab on his ride along I'm sure helped him to understand you are not full of BS. In the next day or two I should have my 6 month UOA report back from Cummins, I'm sure he will not like it when I shove it under his nose to prove oil growth in just 2391 miles that one of his SW said did not amount to that much over full ..

Since I picked it from the dealer a week ago I've had 3 regens. 116miles 178miles and 80miles apart.

Ugh. I just dropped my 22 off this morning for the 3rd time for frequent regens - sometimes it does not even make it 100 miles between regens, even with almost all highway driving. The only time that it does not do an auto regen is when I am towing.

I have done 2 UOAs, which both showed >10% fuel in the oil. The dealership service department has a STAR case open and I just don't have much confidence that they will fix this, especially after following this thread for so long.

Yeah it's sad. 14 weeks nothing fixed... for me just the same crap!. FYI my star case number was 102462680 give that to your dealer and maybe they can learn a bit.

I am on my 8th regen and triggered check engine light this morning. This is the oil level when I picked it up from the deal and current oil level.20240507_082658.jpg20240508_055508.jpg20240423_053948.jpg20240507_054829.jpg

Keep waiting for a conclusion to this, but its hard to believe this is still lingering. Maybe its time for this truck to accidentally stall on a set of train tracks?

I won't let them win that easy. I suffer they spend money to fix it.

Its about time they got you a rental.... On my drive to town today my DPF gauge went up, it was almost like clock work at round 13 hours, like its programed into the ecu ... I took a look and it was 13.4 hours since it did the 24 hour regen o_O so in a few more miles it will do an auto regen, I was hoping after it had two 4 hour none stop drives it would not do another regen before it reached the 24 hr mandated regen...

It looks like they are starting to throw parts at mine. I spoke with the SA today and asked for an update. He told me that the tech is going to replace the DPF today and send me on my way. I don't have much confidence that replacing the DPF will fix the problem.

Yeah, like I said, I don't have much faith that they are doing anything to actually troubleshoot/fix the problem. They just don't make techs like they used to.

They definitely do not. There are some sharp people but manufacturer makes the rules and henders any superstars to rise. The dealerships don't want to foot the bill especially if manufacturer says we didn't authorize that.....the system is broke.
