Have a 2020 ram 1500 limited. Every time it’s cold let’s say 65 or below when you come to a stop the truck jumps or jerk forward like the transmission is trying to shift around 1st gear. Some time you will get a note on the dash says Shift to drive from park or shift to drive…. And the truck is already in drive. Never No check engine light . But once the truck warms up in about 5 mins no problem at all the whole day. Dealer don’t know nothing took it to 2 different locations. Show them videos they all scratching their heads. On dealer told me that’s normal and you must wait 5-10 mins to let the truck warm up which is trash… the truck didn’t start this until 17,k miles was on it.if any knows please let me know while my truck is still under warranty…. And they did do software update but nothing fix it.

My problem is a bit different. I have a 2020 Ram limited 1500 ecodiesel and my truck jerks under acceleration while cold. After engine gets up to 175 degrees problem is gone. I had the crankshaft sensor and tone wheel replaced and no change. Today they are running codes and checking fluid. Only have 38K miles on the truck. Dealer had no idea and no codes from computer. Definitely temperature related, problem is gone after warm up. I think its in the transmission. It is a hazard. You cannot accelerate into traffic until truck is near full temp. If I accelerate very lightly the problem does not occur but then again you cant merge into traffic like that either. It's a hazard.
