So i just picked up a brand new Ram Quad Cab Big Horn 1500, and im interested in lifting it (eventually).

In my opinion, i like the look of a lifted truck, but lifting a 2wd truck essentially is useless otherwise.

What are everyones opinions? Is it dumb?

I would just level the front on a 2wd. I think its kinda goofy to really lift a 2wd lol

It all depends on you man. If you like lifted trucks but have NO need for a 4x4, then its not dumb at all. A lot of people do it.

Do what makes YOU happy and what you like a truck to look like.

Nope , not dumb at all . Its all in what you want it to look like . Plenty of lifted 4x2's out there .

Some go low , some go high .. both look good regardless off drive train .

OEFootball a member here has a sweet lifted 4x2

Welcome first off and there are a few lifted 2wds out there that pull it off nicely. All depends on what your looking for as the end result.

SLT8, im coming from owning numerous slammed VWs, so i wanna see the other end of the spectrum. I think a 6 inch lift on 37's would look sick. But some may say thats overkill for a truck that never sees dirt?

Lift is good as long as you do some mudding and pull it off. Personally I'm probably just gonna level mine

Any pics of a 4th gen just leveled?

Also, maybe some lifted 4th Gens?

I need to get some ideas.

Honestly I see a ton of lifted 4X2's. They still serve a point, sure its not as good as a 4X4, but you still get more clearance. Just because its not 4X4 doesnt mean it cant go off road.

But is there a point where a 4x2 is too big?

To me too big is when the ride becomes too uncomfortable..... I just made a drive up to Albany Ga, and I had no issues. It was a 2hr drive on bumpy ass back roads mainly lol

There is very little that the average person would ever 'need' a lifted 4x for anywho.

Lift it to your hearts content. I'm teetering on a 4" Spindle lift in the front and some sort of custom bag setup in the rear (for when I have my ATV in the bed). I could go with the 7", but truthfully, I don't like trucks sky high. I can almost clear 35s at stock height, so the 4" lift should look perfect with em!

the AAC style dodge ram 2500 diesel is a 2wd, you can tell by the front axle not being there
