i get 11-14 city and if its all highway i can get to 18 ish. All depends on how much I used the gas. I dont care its not a fuel sipper anyway its a truck. How many miles you have. It does take some time to get it all broken in. Do you do alot of highway driving? Is there alot of hills you drive up?

on a trip to st.pete, florida (450 miles from south carolina), i averaged 20.1mpg.
doing 75mph on the interstates, and 60mph on the "back roads"
so its possible.

if it doesnt go into ECO mode, you wont get 20mpg.
its no wonder i havent got in an accident, im always looking to see when ECO pops up. hoping to stretch the gas tank as far as i can.

I get about 14.5 on the streets...and up to about 16 on the highway. Maybe 17.5 on a 2 hour normally flat trip. Haven't really made a trip longer than that. If I ever do, I'm sure I'll get better mpg.

4,400 miles on mine.

did you ever notice the disclaimer in small letters when they put 20mpg?

It is a big truck with a hemi. I say....be glad it doesn't get under 10 on the highway...LOL

Set your cruise control at 79 so you can still go into Eco-Mode.
If I am traveling state roads (even with all the elevation changes) on State Roads, so I'm below 70 I've seen as high as 23mpg.

I have just over 8000 miles on the odo. It didn't really seem to 'break in and get better'
(I keep a log)

with cruise control on a highway trip 20mpg is common for me. in the city i can get 15 if i put effort into it. lately with the winter (i'm in CT) i'm more around 13 but that is with very little if any highway, not to mention i've had to use 4WD a few times and warm it up

My dad averaged 20.9 on our trip to ocean city. It's only gonna be seen on highway an if your not on a road trip your not going to see 20 mpg average from a tank

Sounds like my truck is normal then. do a lot of stop n go combined freeway. Taking a trip to Phoenix next month figure Highway out then. I am happy with the mileage and the truck was expecting it to be about the same as my 5.0 Mustang.
It just sounds so b*****n when ya floor it.

My last tank of fuel, I got 17mpg average daily driving to work, the store, pick up kids from school, and out to eat with wife for lunch. But what can I say?! All I have is a lil' ol' 3500 crew cab drw long bed with a 6.7 CTD. It's so aerodynamic and lite weight. :naughty:

Sorry.

I usually get 13-15 driving to work = 35-45 mph back roads

17-18 so far on the highway = 70-80 mph

This is about what I get. The highest I ever got was 19.8. Then I did several burnouts throughout that weekend.

I'm pretty sure mine would require an entire gallon to coast the full 12.42 miles down Pike's Peak...with wind to back....in neutral....with the engine turned off.
