Installed my JBA Headers today. Jacked up the front and put it on jack stands. Removed front wheels and wheel well liners and unbolted the steering shaft. I did most of the install sitting on a stool. It took about 4 1/2 hrs by myself. Knowing which tools I need and what to do I think I could do it in 2 hrs now. I had to bend the dipstick tube a little to reinstall it and keep it from touching the header. On the passenger side install the gasket with the top second bolt from the rear (if you don't you will cross thread it, trust me on this. Luckily I was able tap the threads). The header flange is slotted so you can slip the header onto the bolt then you can install another bolt to help hold the header. It would help to have another person helping. The drivers side flange is slotted for all the lower bolts so you can install the gasket and lower bolts and slip the header onto the lower bolts. I didn't use any of the mounting hardware that came with the headers. I used Stage 8 Header Bolts and factory manifold gaskets. There were supposed to be some stand-offs to raise the heater hoses up a little further from the header but they were not in the box so I'll have to contact JBA, but I don't think they are really needed. I didn't disconnect the y-pipe since I don't have one as I have true duels. I just unbolted the exhaust from the manifold and pushed the exhaust back as far as I could and it was fine since I installed the headers from the fender well. Tomorrow I have to go to the muffler shop and have them fix the leaks they left when they installed 2 Aero Turbine AT2525 mufflers and I think I'll have them install an x-pipe. Then I need to try out my new HD GoPro Hero. Also I think I expanded my vocabulary today.
