Little info its a 2012 1500 4.7. Is there a brakein period for the trans. My truck only has 700 miles on it but from 30-45 mph it has a shutter like the clutch packs are slipping. When idle more then 10 min in any gear other than drive then I put in drive it jumps like if I had it up around 2000 rpms. The shutter started first now the jump. This is with warm trans. Anyone heard of something like this or am I losing it.

Sounds like a front pump issue. Get it to a good dealer thats knows what they`re doing.

Really I only get a week off I'm hoping there fast. When I worked for a lot it spent more time parked on the lot then in the shop

I have a 4.7l 2011 4x4, between those ranges mine seems to have a little indecision as to shifting or keep reving. I was worried at first so i search forums. a lot of other 4.7l owners in another forum were having the same issue. they may have all described it a little differently but they were all talking about the same thing. most had taken their trucks in and they were fine. Some didnt even notice it until some guys were bringing it up. hopefully it is something fixable for you though!

if you read the owners manual, mines a hemi but its probly the same, it says something along the lines of no towing or heavy acceleration for 500 miles, im doin an oil change at 1000 just cause keeping break in oil in for 8000 miles seem like a bad idea

I haven't towed or got on it hard I just used the button not really towing. I'm changing my at 1000 and the aging at 3000. That's the way I've done every motor I've installed. I know of one that has 250000 miles and pulls like new. Even the oil sticker on my truck from the dealer said to change at 3000 miles

Not sure what it is as 2012 have the new style torque converter in them so shouldn't be that. And you can be hard on your truck right off the lot with less than 20 miles and have no issues. Hopefully you find out what the issue is. Might just be a trans tuning issue when they redid it for the new "6 speed" transmission

Garner that's what I'm starting to think I'm going to take it in and see what they say. I have a loud tap and miss in the motor so its going in any way

Does the 4.7 have MDS? I thought the same thing about my hemi and found out it was the MDS going off and on and it is always off when you put it in tow/haul mode. Just a thought.
