Jumping a Ram seems like a horrible idea. Its not just suspension, its motor mounts etc.. Also what happens when your shocks bottom out? They are going to fly through your hood...... What? you think the bump stops are going to top the weight of the entire front end slamming down?

Keep the truck on land lol.

If you want something to Jump, I'd pick an older vehicle that is a little smaller.. Maybe an older Tacoma or something, and slap some big coilovers on it, since you're going to need the travel.

You can jump anything! The question is "can you drive it after you jump it?".

Big annual ram gtg at glamis if you want to see some rams romping. Quite a few az members attending.

Just wondering... Anyone ever jumped or got some air in their truck? Did you break anything? What mods can be done instead of the 13k RAM runner suspension?

Those DTX videos are awesome! Seriously...depending on much and how often you are getting air will depend on the mods.
At some point, trussed axles, beefy steering, and proper shock valving are a must. At the least, everything must be securlely tied or locked down, and not to sheet metal!

Yes they are. I wished I'd started with a 2500 so I could pound on it a bit more.
When people watch these videos, they should pay attention to how the suspension is cycling. The trucks that jump are set up so the suspension absorbs the jump and doesn't bottom out. Axles are braced so they don't bend.
Just a matter of proper preperation, like anything else.

I haven't gotten any crazy air or anything, but about a foot at max off the ground. It's still a damn rough landing, lol.

We used to all jump our cars at a railroad track behind our football field. Perfect angle to do it too. I've gotten crazy high using that before, but I haven't the guts to do it in my 8,000#+ truck.

There's a light in town where it's pretty much a ramp and I hit it at around 60 one night and probably got a good foot of air at least. Nothing got messed up. That was in the R/T

Recognize quite a few of the trucks in that video. Makes me want to move down to the desert and drop GOBS of cash into my suspension.
